Future Shop Kicks-Off Pre-Orders of Galaxy Nexus on Monday – Samsung Phone

The company announced that the new Google phone will be available for purchase via all of its 150 stores across the country starting with that day. Here’s what the official announcement included: On Monday, November 21, 2011, enthusiasts awaiting the landing of the Galaxy Nexus from Google can take one step closer to scooping up the device, when Future Shop, Canada’s largest retailer and etailer of consumer electronics, offers the device for pre-order at all 150 stores across the country. Available in early December, the Galaxy Nexus smartphone is dubbed one of the hottest devices of the season packed with the cool, new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, impressive 4.65” HD Super AMOLED screen, facial recognition, and much more. The Galaxy Nexus is available at launch through all Future Shop stores on the Bell and Virgin networks. Customers can expect a variety of the latest accessories for the device to be available in-store and online at www.futureshop.ca. Pricing is to be announced. Galaxy Nexus arrives on shelves with a fast 1.2GHz application processor, as well as with a 5MP camera on the back, complemented by a front camera for video calling. The new device also sports 32GB of internal memory, as well as enhanced connectivity capabilities, including HSPA+, WiFi and Bluetooth, along with support for a great deal of applications and services from Google.
